Glow Dough is non toxic, water-based, soft, and rubbery. You can pull, twist, play catch, wrap, stretch, make jewelry or even blow bubbles with it . . . lights on / lights off. In the dark Glow Dough glows a bright green or orange(Pink and Orange). It is especially bright under black light because of our special Fluorescent and Phosphorescent pigments. Stretching it under a bright light source will charge it best. Washing your hands with soap before use ensures your hands will be the correct pH and will make the Glow Dough feel non-sticky. If kept in it's container while not in use, Glow Dough will stay soft and Glow again and again.

Glow Dough was invented by an explosives chemist, patented, and been on the market since 1991. There are 6 Fluorescent colors and 12 Metallic colors to choose from with 6 different lid designs, which are transferable to the Glow Dough.

Glow Dough is a cross-linked polymer, which has the ability to re-heal itself when torn or stretched

The Fluorescent and Phosphorescent pigments have the ability to absorb invisible Ultra-Violet light(340-380 nm) and convert it into visible light in our color spectrum(400-700 nm). The Phosphorescent pigments are able to store the light/energy like a battery and have a delayed emission of light or Glow-in-the-dark - Absorbing wavelengths around 365nm(UV) and emitting 529nm(Green). Fluorescent pigments have the ability to convert the UV light into our color spectrum but not the ability to store the light/energy for a delayed emission.

Glow Dough also comes in assorted fragrances including Jasmin, Gardenia, and Rain. Colors, smells, and textures are able to influence your mood and behavior. Our pink color with the jasmin smell will make you feel more alert and energetic, while our blue color with the rain smell will make you feel more relaxed.

The metallic pigments are very small and disk-shaped. When Glow Dough is stretched the pigments flatten out appear very shiny.

Glow Dough has been used in many different areas. It can be used as a Hot/Cold pack for sore muscles. Because Glow Dough does not freeze all the way through it makes a very good Ice Pack that is able to form around every curve of your body for uniform cooling. Heating up the Glow Dough should be done by heating it in hot water. Be sure to have your Glow dough in an airtight resealable baggie. Since Glow dough is water-based it has a high specific heat, meaning it keeps its temperature longer.

Glow Dough has been used as costume make-up or body art(GloTex). Slime Wrestling debuted last summer at a club in Salt Lake City. It brought instant success to the club with its fluorescent Slime covering the beautiful girl wrestlers under black lights. Glow Dough makes a great fire-retardant and the military has studied it for it's many different uses.

Glow Dough has been donated to a school for the deaf and blind, to try to help their students learn and picture things. It has also been donated to the University of Utah Topology Department - the study of shape.
